General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

Was bouncing around the local high end show over the weekend (Capital Audiofest) and wandered into the Polk room where they were playing their $1,500 per pair bookshelf speakers. Powered by Bel Canto gear they were pretty darned stunning. Not sure if it was just the euphoria of finding a good value product (after spending time with Tidal, MBL and other products that cost more than nice cars earlier in the day) but I was really stunned by how good these speakers were. My current $1,500 speaker of choice is the Nola Boxer, but I think I could live with these as well. Anybody else had any experience with them?
