Home Speaker Asylum

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

How can I find replacement drivers for a box on which I have no information?

Hi everyone.

Got these speakers for peanuts a couple days back,

http://flickcabin.com/public/viewset/46467

They looked (and still do) quite promising, the HF units appear to be Peerless and the cabinets feel really solid and well-built. But one of the LF units has turned out to be frozen stiff, even though it does measure out on an ohmmeter.

So, it looks like the easiest way out will be to get replacement drivers. HOWEVER... I have no information at all on the current ones, and there is NO information about these boxes on the Internet at all. So... I would like to find something that's reasonably 'on spec' for the enclosures... but how would I do that? I know very little about speakers.

I would truly appreciate any help/comments/guidance... TIA!

Cheers,

D
