I had a chance to compare the RS6 with M4 the cheaper floorstander. The sound was very similar except for less bass of M4. My friends who owned these speakers lived 30 miles apart, so it was not a direct comparison. But the room sizes and set ups were similar. The RS6 was driven by Marantz 7004 and the M4 by NAD 326BEE. In spite of the big difference in price I found the M4 sound more friendly. Perhaps because of my dislike of a lot of bass. The M6 is bigger and perhaps has more bass.
