Best Speakers for Upgraded Dynaco monoblocks

I feel like the luckiest guy in the world. I have inherited my father's Dynaco MK III monobclocks and and PAS preamp. They have already had some upgrades done to them, and are probably as good sounding as I need them to be, at least for a while.

Here's my question: What might you recommend for speakers to go with them? I could spend up to $2500, but of course wouldn't mind spending less.(Or, more accurately, my WIFE wouldn't mind me spending less). Used is also certainly an option, and since I live in a fairly large city (Portland, OR), a variety of used gear does show up from time to time.

A friend recommended I check out Wilson Audio, which I certainly will, but any other suggestions would be appreciated, too.
