Removing woofers on Infinity speakers

I have a problem with an off-center woofer on an Infinity 2.6p. It seems that it may be partly unscrewed from the baffle and has shifted to the left. . There's a nasty air leak.

How do I get the rubber grill sleeves out to access the screws without destroying them? I've tried fingers, knives, screwdrivers, etc. Surely they aren't glued in!

I have a similar problem with a pair of Kappa 200's. The plugs on a Primus 160 or Prelude MTS look the same, but they pop out easily, maybe too easily.
