I have had a pair of 107/2s since they came out... some time in the early 90s. I auditioned them against the original 107s, and 104s (as well as several competitors from other companies), and came away decidedly preferring the 107/2s... so I bought them! They are the only dynamic speakers that have stayed with me all these years (only my ESL63s have seen as much use). Yes, I've replaced the surrounds, but I consider that "normal wear". They have the best real world base, I've been able to reproduce in my home, and their imaging & depth of sound stage is extraordinary... the Quads do have better "depth", mid range detail, and "air", but that KEFs are my first choice for most general listening, and anything really dynamic. I don't think there's much out there that can keep up under $10k, so I'm sticking with my 107s!
