are hard to beat. i have them and also magnepan MMGs and a HSU sub, works well with either pair.
i might look into using a sub. that would make the spendors sound much larger and still not take up much real estate.
the MMGs are REALLY affordable, the 1.7 have been quite well received in the press as well as the MG12s (another bargain).
