RE: The Myth ?

I have a pair of 1978 Norman Labs Model 12s, 1 12" woofer 2 philips soft dome tweeters, that I over drove and burned one woofer. Orange County Speaker rebuilt the woofer and at the same time I replaced the caps in the crossover. My year has a single 5uf cap 100v 2"X.25", a three way toggle switch with a 5ohm and 10ohm resistors attached, 2 coils and a push button breaker to the tweeters. I recapped them with like value Solens and now there is no bass or midrange.

I have a photo of a first year crossover, 1977 and they used a 15uf cap, and extra 25ohm resistor and a car light bulb. Its not pretty to look at like mine just different.

On my speakers it sounds like the solens are blocking? the LF as I dont here much below 1500hz. I am at a lose as to what may have happened.
