I listened extensively to the Virgo II and the Libra at a dealers and ended up buying the Libra. I thought the bass was clearly better and deeper. Both are excellent speakers but I liked the Libra better in all regards, but not by a huge margin. I think the higher price of the Libra doomed it because the Virgo was getting such great reviews. Why pay a couple of more thousand for the Libra when the Virgo got such glowing comments?

I bought the Libra's and was very happy with them. I think they sound much better with tube amplification of 100 watts +. I only sold them when I got into low powered SET amps. I think the Libra is one of the best buys around because their pricing kept them from being successful.
