RE: Speaker repair

It could be a number of things, but my first thought was that you might have a damaged voice coil since you say it is with the lowest frequencies. A voice coil can bottom out from over-excursion and be damaged that way, and it can be deformed by heat. The heat problem is not so great with typical modern drivers as paper formers are not so common today. A lot of those Audax woofers from twenty years ago or longer, like the Bextrene coned woofers, used paper formers and they were known for not handling a lot of power. I'll stop here as I don't know anything specific about your Shiva drivers.
