I think one considering is the amplifier required to drive the speakers. The Verity Parsival Encore are a somewhat more difficult load and require a bit more power to come alive. The Devore's are easier to drive and you can get away with quite a bit less power.
Otherwise I would consider which sound you like better - I like both, but they are quite distinct from one another in terms of sound and your preference should determine your decision.
