using a 100w tube amp.
I would suspect you will not be able to get 3.6s sounding very good (or even very loud) with a 100w tube amp - let alone "opening them up"! :-))
I have heard a predecessor to the 3.6 sounding fabulous with a 200w VTL amp but, just as a comparison, some people use 1Kw digital amps with their smaller cousins, the 1.6s. (And 3.6s are less efficient.)
A big Pass will sound great - several Planar Asylum members have these. Another recommended amp is the Parasound A21, which I have heard with a pair of 3.6s - great sound. :-)) But Bryston, I suspect, will sound a bit "lean".
Regards,
Andy
