I just built a pair of TQWT speakers based on calcs from a spreadsheet by John Rutter that I downloaded. I had a pair of Fostex FE206En that needed a properly sized enclosure. I am aware of advice that the rising freq. response of this driver means you need a shelving filter to restore the balance with the bass. Instead I just turn the bass tone control up a little. Hope that's not heresy :)
Anyway, I am stunned by the sound I am getting. I am driving these with a 6B4g (2A3 eq.) triode SET amp. Seems to be a perfect match to me. Just played Nat King Cole's "After Midnight" and a few other nicely recorded albums, and I am totally stoked! :)
