I bought the 4 post Skylan stands for my Merlin TSM-MXr speakers. They were made for that model and shipped to me within about 4 weeks of my order.

The Stands
Top and bases are some sort of thick and heavy MDF board. The posts are hollow plastic. A heavy stainless steel rod goes through each post and is fastened by a bolt on each end. The entire assembly is very rigid. But my initial impression was that this was a rather "lively" stand and I was worried about how it would sound.

First Stand Test
Used empty the stands were quite evident in their sonic signature. I could not suggest using them when not filled, which is not the case with some metal stands.

Second Stand Test
Filled with kitty litter the stands now sounded excellent, but I still noted some sloppy smearing of the bass that I knew was not a characteristic of the speakers.

Third Stand Test
Filled with sand, the stands now performed beautifully. Bass was better extended and utterly precise. I imagine that lead could take it further, but the weight becomes am issue as I do move these around.

Summary
A very good stand at a reasonable price, custom fit to my speakers. They are also very attractive.

Product Weakness:	Adjustment of feat or spikes is done from base
Product Strengths:	Filled with sand these are great good looking stands
