Hi, truthseeker:I or a Reynaud dealer could sell single Twin Mk 2's to you, I guess the price would be $450 (dealers would have to buy a pair, then have a single Twin sitting around until someone else wanted it for a center channel), but shipping might be a problem, as there are no standard cartons designed to ship just one Twin.
Note: Would this "new" model be called the "Orphan"? (heh heh)
With the Twin, I'm not sure if there would be magnetic problems with the TV or not, I"ve tested for magnetic interference on my 20" Sony set (my traveling TV) with no noticeable effects on the image. I don't know if a Twin would cause magnetic interference with other sizes and brands of TV's.
Frankly, I'd recommend the $500 Reynaud center channel from the 5-piece Reynaud Ecran Total: it is shielded and designed for home theater use. The URL of the Ecran Total page is: http://www.jm-reynaud.com/total_e.shtml
Email me if you would like to try a single Twin with your TV, I'll figure out how to pack one up for you for test purposes.
Best regards, rdb :-) (Reynaud distributor)
