The general rule of thumb with any speaker is that every object in the room has an audible impact on the performance of your speakers.Tv's especially. You will want to get your Electa Amator IIs forward of the tv's screen. What will they sound like behind that line of demarcation? Put your hand on either side of your mouth, palms facing out. Talk. Notice how different it sounds with and without your hands. Same thing happens to speakers. Every speaker. By placing the speakers in front of the screen of your tv, you will help to minimize the effect of the tv, but still be able to enjoy the advantages of integrating audio with video. EAIIs like to be 8-10 feet apart. Less than 6ft, and things start getting hairy. Not a fault of the speaker- just simple physics.
