Hi Mike,The tweeter blends fine. I have it well padded down, so it adds some sparkle without drawing attention to itself. I haven't yet tried listening without the tweeter.
The crossover is 2nd order with resonance trap and notch filter on the 4001, crossover points at 800 and 8000. Last night I tried a cascaded 1st order but that didn't sound good - don't know why. Need to do some measurements. I'm building some SETs with the aim of bi-amping - I'll have a passive line-level crossover built into the amps.
Sorely tempted by the idea of a large lower-mid horn. Those Sierra-Brooks jobs are very handsome, but shipping to the UK would cost a fortune.
