The classic Klipsch's seem to me more dependent on electronis and room setup then many other speakers. I heard the K-horns, positioned per factory recommendation in a properly treated room driven with VTL tube electronics, and I thought the Jazz trio was playing live...wonderful. But, I also heard LaScalas driven by Nakamichi solid state in a large, cold store front room, with no regard for proper positioning or treatment, and the sound was harsh and irritating...similar speakers, but completely opposite sound.
