I've had a chance to listen to the Piagas. The model was either the S1 or 2. I believe this model was their entry level on floorstanders.

True to good speaker makers, their affordable entry level always seem to bear its best in sound. The higher models tend to improve on it marginally. I find the sound open, with good depth and midband clarity, and a detailed treble. I've listened to Jacintha on them, and her voice simply floated in the air with a tonal richness brought about by neuman U 49 I believe it was tube microphone. The animation of her voice was felt in the room by us. We also played the Laurindo Almeida Virtuoso Guitar on two track recording. The depth and width of the soundstage gave the instruments playing in solo and unison a very lively as though I was there presentation. The recording had a good part in the overall sound, no doubt.

Overall, I think they are extremely worth considering.
