The transparent soundstage the Actives present is great- spacious yet localizing instruments and singers in proper locales. With a power conditioner the quiet black air the music penetrates is deepened to a nonitem. Although music is very smooth there's this eery realism allowing one to see what's going on as well (eyes closed of course). Dynamics from active technology is something taken to another plane of experience. Soundstaging is obviously best heard from real acoustic spaces recorded with 2 mics which play back naturally, something you obviously know quite a bit about.
