>>>It's so nice to hear comments about one's products from somebody who knows nothing about them, talking off the top of his head, trying to make a sale.<<<
Yes, thank you for making all the worst possible assumptions about me Brian.Frankly, given the fine reputation of your company,I expected a bit more...
>>>THD measurements are made in the nearfield, at the drivers and the slot of the PR, using the SYSID measurement system. The LSW averages 1.5% THD from 22Hz on up with 1W drive.<<<
1w....so that's what...90-95dB?>>>I see this guy is telling you that our 15" woofer can't be anything special. Maybe he makes his own drivers too, like we have for nearly 15 years. Driving the woofer with 20Hz to 115 dB I can see (not just theorize) cone travel of at least plus/minus 15 mm. We have an 80oz stacked magnet and a 4" long pole piece, fer Chrissakes.<<<
I actually guessed the xmax to be in the 7-8mm range...is that incorrect?
>>>Why don't you buy this other guy's woofers. If its performance is like his verbiage you'll be getting what you deserve.<<<
Well, if he gets dual 31s, he'll get the ability to produce 110dB/25hz anechoic(1 meter) using regular sines. If you goto
ramped pulsing(like the good reviewers use)...figure 113dB or
so anechoic(using a 10% thd limit of course) Corner loaded in a
typical room.....you'd be looking at approx 125dB of clean output(<10%thd)...without factoring in room gain assumptions of course. Subjectively, and with room gain factored in...130dB isn't out of the question. I'm surprised you're so harsh on an interested consumer Brian...he's asking basic questions, and used some quotes of mine(that also contained basic inquires into your product)...nothing to get all high and mighty about.
>>>"Flared 4" ports" indeed. <<<Well, depending on the clean one way Xsus of your PR(which is one of the questions you seem to ignore repeatedly)...the dual 4" flared ports might flow more air than the PR can move.
>>>And by the way, I'm here all the time. <<<
