I've had an F-1500 servo sub in my HT system for many years. A couple of years ago the low level gritty noise became progressively louder and louder until it was noticable from the sitting area during moderately quiet passages in the soundtrack. I obtained a return authorization from Velodyne and sent to their facility via FedEx. After assessing a small fee, they repaired the amp (no one I spoke with knew what was done) and returned it using the same transit method. The repaired unit is as quiet and robust sounding as when new.
