Yesterday, while posting a free clothes dryer on New Jersey Craigslist (and getting my first hit within 45 seconds), I came across a pair of L-810s, ostensibly in good condition, for $350. Be still, my beating heart!

I remember them with great fondness from my days as a salesman at Tech Hi-Fi in Paramus, where with the possible exception of the Ohm Fs, they were the best-sounding speakers in the joint (and with none of the F's hunger for power, placement difficulties, and dynamic limitations). I came within a hair of emailing the seller - not with a serious thought of buying them, you understand - just out of an idle curiosity to find out if there were any issues with them.

If I wasn't making such a concerted effort to scale down and simplify my life (or to put another way, to calm down and mollify my wife), I'd be sorely tempted to make an offer.
