I have owned martin logans and acoustats for years and my main system is a pair of martin logan monolith 2s run thru an audio research ec21 tube crossover thru a pair of Mcshane citatiion 2 tube amps and then the Descent sub is making the bass below 30cps.
I have never heard a bad martin logan,only ones that were not setup properly.The summits and the Vantage are very good and I have heard the Source and they remind me a lot of the Aeons that ML was making a few years ago..You will love Martin logans if you take the time with them..I have the CLXs on order which Im getting at dealer cost and the insurance is kicking in otherwise I couldnt afford them but that will be nice when they arrive.You can always sell a martin logan and their resale is tops.I would say go for it and the newer ML are now able to run with tube amps again as they made a more stable impedance..I always biamp so that makes it less stressful on the panels and amps.
If the power supply waveform isn't pretty,neither is the sound in most cases.
