Funny...I was dead set on a pair of Europa or Europa Max. I guess it's nice to see someone else looking for similar qualities that also chose the Songtowers.
You're right...at $1500, they're hard to pass up!
Jim recently asked (on his forum) if anyone was using tube amplification with the Songtowers, but I don't think he got any responses. Supposedly, they are an "easy" 4ohm load (if there is such a thing), and will pair fine with lower powered amps (30-40 w/ch), but maybe not flea powered stuff. Everyone I've seen has used 100+ watt quality SS amps, but Jim selling Jolida and Frank VanAlstine pairing with his hybrid amps must be reassuring.
