These sockets(http://www.oregondv.com/WBT_0234_RCA_Socket_Connector.htm) replace the cheesy original RCAs VERY easily by removing one of the ground pins w/a nailclipper, no other mods or chassis hacking necessary. Sprague (Orange Drops) are junk in an audio application. Use caps that are designed for TRANSPARENT signal tranfer(auriCAP, Relcap, V-cap, Wondercap, Solen, etc.) in the active circuits, a polystyrene/polypropylene cap, and(if necessary: a Vishay bulk foil resistor for impedance matching) as a high pass filter.
