What is the flange and is cutting it difficult? Would this be on the replacement tweeter? It's just that vinyl seems to roll off treble a bit whereas, generally speaking, digital seems to emphasize it. I just got the new Channel Islands Audio VDA2 DAC on audition and it's incredible, but it really extends treble. I may get the power supply upgrade which should refine the presentation from bottom to top. Guess I just wasn't ready for the treble extension with some of my rock CDs, which aren't always mastered as well as the vinyl reissues. I also I have it in my mind that aluminum/titanium is inferior...but that may not be true in all cases. Still, I look forward to having silk domes someday.
Thanks very much,
