General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

I hope inmates can point me to an explanation of this: the measured response of two different speakers (ATC50ASL and ATC20ASL), using two different measuring systems on each, show the same peak in the response around 3 to 7kHz. This is quite a wide rise going to nearly +10dB at 5kHz. I am well aware that bass responses are erratic in room but this treble oddity surprises me.
