RE: DuKane Ionovac

Great information!! If you go to Roger Russel's website on the Ionovac, you'll find that great history. It's the quartz horn that was being sold within the last couple of years on ebay. Every thing else about the stock Ionovac is easy to find tube electronics. When I saw replacements available, I thought that it might be possible to run a pair of Ionovacs every day. As it is, I can't realistically run them. I still have two pairs of them. One pair is the stand alone type. The other pair have the same tweeter with a 16ohm, Alnico V 8"woofer. Oddly enough, they are largely ignored in the local market. The one pair that sold on ebay sat unsold at an antique store here in northern Delaware for two months before I bought them for $20. No one knew what they were, and those who looked at them decided that they were old speakers with a very small built in amps. Not quite.
