RE: Infinity IRS Beta

I was an Infinity RS1b owner for about 17 years and know the Betas well. I too looked long and hard for a replacement. My search naturally took me to the different Genesis models and to the Nola line of speakers. But, they were way out of my price range. Fortunately my search finally ended.

These are the new RM-V60s and VLA bass towers in my room. I can honestly say that these are not just a good replacement, but far exceed what I had known previously. I have no doubt that this system would hold it's own against other reference systems, new or old, such as the IRS and Genesis top models. The Beta is a fine system, I know this. So were my RS1bs, but this new system here is in an entirely different league.

If you are considering a replacement, I suggest that you let the Betas go while they are still at the top of their game. That is what I did with my Infinities, as time is not often kind to older speakers. Replacement drivers and components are getting harder and more expensive to find. This is especially true for the Beta.
