General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

I am looking to buy a pair of Blue Heron's after hearing a friend's set but I have some concerns about the tweeter in some of the models. Since the company is out of business, maybe the inmates have some knowledge.
Apparently there were some tweeter problems in one (or more) of the models of BH's, either the original BH, the BHi, or the BH II. Was this solved? Is there a recourse (fix) if I happen to purchase a pair with a problem? Was it the Scan Speak tweeter that was a concern? Do I have this all wrong?
