That link assumes that you are dealing with first order passive filters, which is quite unlikely for a xover that comes in a high quality modern speaker. If first order, the high xpoint may move an octave up and the low xpoint an octave down, leaving a hole.
If second order network, the change may be okay, since only the shape of the slopes change, not the corner frequencies. It all depends on the xover.
