Good reply, this is exactly what I was thinking when I read the title of the thread. Deep bass is not found in 70's rock or any rock music. It is the mid bass that is emphasised. There are speakers that do that including Montana's which might be another option.

In my experience speakers that have this emphasis never sound balanced unless of course all one listens to is rock. A matter of taste and priorities for sure.
