General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

Is anyone using a pair of Grand Ecran as main speaker system for music? How does it sound compared to other JMR speakers like Evolution 3 or Offrande? Is it a good audio speaker for its own right?
I listened to it with a 50W tube amp and the bass seemed to be not as adequate and not too punchy. It is a new set up so I wonder if it is just not properly set up or it is its characteristics. The high is really good thought.
