The big advantage is to be able to place the subs near the corners and use higher xover without "hearing" them...In one system I use two "normal" subs, behind the front speakers, the second sub was a very worthwhile improvement, in the other system I only use one bipole between the speakers, and it sounds just as good, didnt have a chance to try a second sub here...
