I recommend copper, especially for your proposed system. Keep in mind, however, that I'm a tube person (Citation II, Pilot 232 and Chardonnay pre in my system) so your tastes might differ from mine considerably. I think that you'll want to take some of the edge off the Lavry (at least from what I infer from discussions here) and Nuforce (which I did audition and just didn't like -- too synthesized and hyperreal, not musical at all in my system). I haven't heard the BelCantos but I do have the Red Wine Signature 30. The Sig 30 is very nice but doesn't have the dynamics, tone, dimension and timbral palpability of the Citation or Pilot.

If you want to try a cheap experiment get some YardMaster patio cord from Wal-Mart and follow the directions at 6moons (http://6moons.com/audioreviews/zigmahornet/zigmahornet.html). I just made a pair this afternoon and have been quite pleased with the results. Pleased enough to want to try the interconnects. (I also use copper with ICs - VH Audio Pulsars.) I generally prefer the YMasters with the Citation to Poiema cables and they're fairly close to another homemade copper cable (which use a high-end Audioquest speaker cable - the name of which I can't remember - stranded with some pre-WWII teflon-coated copper). The YardMaster runs $7.99 for 40'so you really can't go wrong, even if you decide it's not right for you.

Such is my 2 cents.
Bob
