You might be right. However, I see nothing to indicate the phase of rear woofers. If in phase, then it is mainly cosmetic fluff, since there would be no force cancellation on the structure in the mounted positions. Very little room benefit as well, since it's largely omni at low frequencies anyway. But if they are wired out of phase to create a dipole, or possibly a cardioid radiation pattern, that would certainly be a worthwhile feature, not just aesthetic/marketing dressing.cheers,
