I have just begun to get into high end audio, and after reading a couple recent issue of Stereophile, I have noticed that the reviewers often compare new speakers to the Quads. They also talk about how certain amplifiers are designed with Quad speakers in mind.Could someone please tell me which Quad models these reviewers are touting? Are they vintage models? If Quad speakers are so great how come there are hundreds of speaker manufacturers out there and hundres of people who are not using them?
