Air leaks between enclosure & woofer frame will cause weak Bass; was the gasket/seal replaced when woofer was re-installed to cabinet? Home window & door self-stick foam weather strip (in various dimensions) available at a local Hardware store is a satisfactory material for this seal. Also, check that you re-connected the speaker properly as one woofer of a stereo pair out of phase-polarity with the other channel will also cause a null in Bass. Reversing amplifier-to-speaker cable connection (+,-) @ one end only & on one channel only can check for this.
