trying to identify 1950's Space Era Speakers?

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

hello i have a pair of speakers, that look to be from the space era. the best i can describe them as it 2 letter "L"'s back to back, and at top on each side is a 1/2 ball, which in turns forms a full ball when you look at the speakers. the "L" shapes are made out of hard plastic. the bottom reads "Air Suspension System". i tryed to take them apart, and the farthest i got was taking off the bottom plastic base. i have no idea how to get inside to find out what kind of speakers are inside. these speakers are very large. they measure 26Tx19x14 1/2 deep.
