I owned a pair of PSB GOlds for 4 years. I heard nothing like you described. I ran them first with an Adcom 5800 and then with a CJ Premier 11a. They sounded fantastic. They are almost as good as the Revel F30 i now own. Musical dynamic speaker and then were a phenomenal value. Maybe you should get your ears checked as they are not working correctly.
