I've been thinking a lot about bass performance recently, and I ran into a few people who were selling or had pictures of their Snell Type As.The Snell Type A's had what I can only call "scary" bass. In other words, it seemed like they had no bottom end, that they kept going down all the way to the 0 Hz, or wind. Something I have just never felt equaled.
I have never heard the giant Wilson's, or JM Lab Utopias, so it is possible they are as good or better, but look at their size! :)
So, I was just wondering if anyone had some technical knowledge about the design of the early Snell's? I am perhaps thinking of making a pair of bass cabinets based on their design, kind of as a subwoofer to mount my satellites.
Thank you,
Erik
