While I agree with you, in their day people used to laugh at them.When they went on sale at their annual two for one sale, they were undeatable and smart people jumped on 'em.
But, at their list price, they were only competitive, which is to say that, quality wise they stood up well to the competition but sound wise, it was a personal preference. Too many people dissed them simply on their name alone.
Now keep your eyes out for one of their analog rteceivers likethe STA-2000 to go with them.
Now, their newer stuff from the mid/late 80's on, well...
