General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

I have a pair of Magneplaners 1.6QRs that work well in my living room. I am intersted in hanging them from the ceiling such that they would be raised about two feet off the floor to free up some space. We New Yorkers are always concerned with optimizing space. I have two concerns:
1) Would I lose a lot of bass due to the frame not being stabalized.
2) How important is the angle. They are angled very slightly up when in their stands.
So has anyone hung their Maggies?
