In addition to what RBNG mentioned, you need to disconnect the dreaded APOC at the crossover board (automatic protection overload circuitry) that even B&W designers and technicians admit was a total disaster. You will get a faster speaker w/ better dynamics and significantly clearer sonics. Remove the relay (usually covered in white plastic box in center of xover board), clip and remove the 84 ohm resistor to the right of it, and use a jumper across the relay circuit underneath the board by soldering a wire at the points where the relay terminals were.
