Actually, the Matrix 801's will go right down flat to 20HZ with the bass alignment filter.
The Matrix 801 Bass Alignment Filter turns the 801 into a 6th order Bass Machine that will rattle the room.
One simply unhooks the mid/tweeter bi wire jumpers, and only the bass driver receives signal.
Placed this way in a corner, and with it's 6th order equalizer. a pair of Matrix 801's will rattle the room.Kind of a waste though for an excellent speaker IMHO, as a well set up Matrix 801 is likely to overall outperform just about anything short of big bucks.
