Matrix 801's have bass roll-off below 40Hz.The very sturdy enclosures might be very good as a starting points
for a DIY subwoofer. Ports would have to be retuned or sealed.The primary use for subwoofers is 20-40Hz.
(25 to 50 Hz. if you have weenie main speakers)..
