Has anyone ever thought of using Linn Isobariks, or Matrix 801's as passive subwoofers? Seems like overkill - but prices on these speakers are sometimes cheaper than buying "one" quality amplifier. I realise you'd have to config a crossover - but I wonder if either of these two speakers might not be an awesome sub enclosure?I'm not sure I'd actually do this - but just thought it might be intersting to consider?
Anyone actually ever try something like this?
