Merlin TSM-MMe pretty much fits your description. Coherent drivers, natural sound that always lets you know that piano is played with two hands--no joke, that was my first reaction to hearing them. (Seriously, think about that in terms of your listening experiences.) Precise, transparent and will disappear in your room. Not over-energized to get lots of bass, just plays within its limits. Loves tubes. Plays all styles of music with aplomb (a plum??--must be that hi-fi lingo generating software I'm using!!). Do a search here or go online and search for Merlin Music. Good luck.
