Re: Recommendation for a good Sound Pressure Level Meter

Rent a BRUEL & KJAER 2250 for $750 for a couple weeks... Ruler flat response. I work here. But it's the best - +/- about 0.25dB

Behringer, and Sound PC sound card and program respond with +/- 2dB at best, but a whole lot better than the "cheap sound level meters".

Also the B&K measures down to the noise floor of your room - so you can use it to identify ambient noise issues in your listening room (its amazing how loud that your kitchen's refridgerator is - when compared to the dynamics of music.
